County has affordable housing available
The Loudoun County Affordable Dwelling Unit Program has properties available.
The program gives individuals and families a chance to buy a home in Loudoun directly from the builder at a reduced price.
Applicants must meet income and credit requirements.

Internet safety course schedule changed
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the second part of its Internet safety course, originally scheduled for Wednesday at Briar Woods High School, will be at 7 p.m. next Thursday.
Other Internet safety courses being taught by the Adult Crime Prevention Unit are scheduled on the following dates:
→March 5 at Loudoun Valley High School (part one), 7 p.m.

→March 6 at Loudoun Valley High School (part two), 7 p.m.
→March 18 at Potomac Falls High School (part one), 6:30 p.m.
→March 19 at Potomac Falls High School (part two), 6:30 p.m.
The two-part course teaches parents basic Internet safety tips and some advanced techniques to help keep their children safe while they are online or using other technology. Because of graphic content, the classes are for parents only.

Citizens’ Police Academy to begin soon
Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman has announced the 32nd Citizens’ Police Academy, which will begin March 13.
Classes will be taught by Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office personnel. The classes highlight all the aspects of law enforcement within the agency. Participants may have the option of going on a ride-a-long with a deputy after completing the academy.

The free sessions will be Wednesday evenings from March 13 through May 22. Each session will be 21 / 2 hours and begin at 7 p.m. Class locations will be announced before the academy begins.
The classes are open to Loudoun residents 18 and older. To enroll, contact Karen Lauzier of the sheriff's office at karen.lauzier@loudoun.gov or call 703-737-8238 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.
Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Enrollment is limited to 40 people.
